Gemma Whelan, who played Yara Greyjoy on Game of Thrones, is gearing up for the return of the HBO series Gentleman Jack this spring. It’s been nearly three years since the series premiere, and while it may not have captured a wide audience, I am a huge fan.

The series tells the true story of Anne Lister (played by Suranne Jones), who lived in the the 19th century in West Yorkshire, England and who has become known as the first “modern lesbian.” The show is based on her journals, which she wrote in code.

Gemma Whelan stars as Anne’s sister Marian Lister, who is the opposite of Anne (and of Yara, come to think of it) in every way. Whelan recently shared some photos from behind the scenes of season 2. Check them out below:

If you haven’t seen the series I’d urge you to check it out. We don’t have an exact release date but season 2 should begin airing on HBO soon.

Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) heads to Broadway

As long as we’re talking about what the Game of Thrones stars are up to, Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) is heading to Broadway, according to Entertainment Weekly. He is set to replace Dan Stevens (Legion, Beauty and the Beast) in the play Hangmen, created by Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin McDonagh, who was behind Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The Broadway production, like many others, faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but is finally making its return for a limited 10-week run starting April 21.

It looks like this spring is the return of the Greyjoy siblings! Yay for Gemma Whelan and Alfie Allen!

And now, here’s a random picture of Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) showing off his bodily transformation over the last two years:

Since his days as a professional strongman, Björnsson has started a career as a boxer. So he’s still huge — he’s 6’9″ — just a lot leaner.
