The Book of Boba Fett may be about to air its season finale on Disney+, but Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison already has ideas about where he’d like to see the story go next. Morrison and costar Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) have been making the press rounds to promote the series, doing everything from teasing “surprises” in the finale to discussing the show’s portrayal of the Tusken Raiders.

They’ve also talked about the direction of future seasons of The Book of Boba Fett. As of now there has been no word as to whether the show will continue after this season…but if it does, Morrison knows what he wants to see. During an interview with IMDb, the outlet quizzed The Book of Boba Fett stars about how their characters would fare in a fight against various famous Star Wars figures from Darth Vader to Yoda and Kylo Ren. When IMDb brought up Mace Windu, things got interesting.

Temuera Morrison wants Boba Fett to hunt down Mace Windu

Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel trilogy, was a Jedi Master who has a pretty prominent place in the Boba Fett mythos. During the climactic arena battle on Geonosis in Attack of the Clones, Windu comes face-to-face with Boba’s father Jango Fett, which is the role Morrison originally played in the franchise. It doesn’t end well for Jango.

The last shot we get of child Boba Fett in that movie is him sitting in the arena, holding his father’s helmet. (Which may still have his head in it, since he was decapitated? It’s pretty gruesome.)

“I owe him big time for my dad,” Morrison said of Windu. “Oh yes, he’s done. I’ve got my eye on him. He’s top of the list, in fact.”

"Being a young teenager, fatherless and making his own way, [Boba’s] got a few chips on his shoulders. I think that we’d better let [The Book of Boba Fett producer] Jon Favreau know that we should have another series where I start looking for Mace."

Of course, any reappearance by Mace Windu would be quite the trick. When last we saw the character, he had his hands cut off by Anakin Skywalker and was blasted off the top of a skyscraper by Emperor Palpatine’s force lightning. It’s always been assumed that that was the end of the Jedi Master…but considering that The Book of Boba Fett basically hinges on bringing back a character that we also presumed was dead, it’s not a total impossibility to revive him, especially when you consider Disney and Lucasfilm’s drive to use these shows as fan service vehicles to feature familiar characters from the galaxy far, far away.

Regardless, it may be a while before we get to see any type of rematch between Morrison and Samuel L. Jackson. In the mean time, The Book of Boba Fett finale airs on Wednesday, February 9.

Next. We will pry the Skywalker saga from Disney’s cold dead hands. dark
