Outlander season 6 will stream on Netflix…in France
By Ariba Bhuvad
Outlander fans living in France are going to be able to watch episodes from the highly anticipated sixth season on Netflix when it premieres next month. Netflix France confirmed the news this week, stating that new episodes will be available on Netflix the day after they are shown on the Starz Play app.
This news hasn’t played well with Outlander fans in the United Kingdom and the United States, who were confused as to why Netflix France will get new episodes of Outlander while Netflix USA and UK will not. Before this season, UK fans were able to watch Outlander with an Amazon Prime Video subscription, but now they will have to pay extra on top of that to watch the show on the StarzPlay app.
There are already so many streaming services out there demanding our money, so I can see why this news might not set well with Outlander fans.

Fans have been taking to social media expressing their annoyance over all of this. Some have even have contemplated boycotting the show. Per the Daily Record, one irritated UK fan wrote, “I love Outlander. But we pay a tv license, we pay for Sky/Virgin, we pay for Prime and now we’re expected to pay for Starzplay someone’s having a laugh.”
For those curious about how much these fans will have to pay for the additional StarzPlay subscription, StarzPlay costs about £4.99 per month through the app, Amazon Prime Video, or Virgin TV. There is a 30-day free trial through Amazon, so that’s something…right?
