As usual, the cast of Game of Thrones are up to all sorts of interesting things. For instance, The Hollywood Reporter brings us the news that Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) is teaming up with The Amazing Spider-Man star Dane DeHaan for a crime thriller called Wardiver. DeHaan plays a hacker named Cole and Turner his target, a woman named Sarah.

“When Oscar, a criminal with a dangerous past, discovers Cole’s unique talents, he forces him to hack into the bank account of the young, seemingly wealthy Sarah and empty it of nearly a million dollars,” reads the synopsis. “Cole soon discovers that a powerful, mob-connected lawyer has been using Sarah to hide his money. Seeking to bail her out of danger, Cole initiates a plan to replace the stolen money and begins to fall for Sarah. Ignoring warning signs that something greater is amiss, Cole soon finds himself pulled into an elaborate web of lies, deceit and betrayal.”

There’s no release date for Wardiver as of yet, but it’s due to start shooting this summer. If you’re looking for a movie with a Game of Thrones actor that you can watch right now, may we remind you that John Bradley (Sam) is starring alongside Jennifer Lopez in Marry Me even as we speak?

Nathalie Emmanuel calls out British TV and film industry

Moving on, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) spoke on the podcast The Way We Are With Munroe Bergdorf about the way actors of color are treated in her native Great Britain vs in the United States. “There are few opportunities for people of colour in Britain, other than in bit-part roles as ‘best friends’ or ‘receptionists,'” she said. “We lose so much Black and brown talent to the States because the British industry just doesn’t hold space in a meaningful, significant way. It’s frustrating.”

"Even now some British Black people I know in the industry who have played lead roles in the US have come back to the UK and the parts they are being asked to audition for are just minor. We are still battling that. I don’t see that happening to my white counterparts."

Emmanuel has been on the biggest success stories to come out of Thrones, having starred in hits like Army of Thieves and several Fast & Furious movies, with more to come.

Finally, let’s end with Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) in the trailer for Flux Gourmet, an arty satire set in a culinary school:

This definitely seems up to Christie’s adventurous standards. Flux Gourmet is due out this summer.
