Watch the first teaser trailer for Ms. Marvel on Disney+!

Disney is gearing up for a huge spring. On May 25, they debut Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, which features Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returning to the roles of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader respectively. And now, they’ve just announced that Ms. Marvel, the next in their series of Marvel TV shows, premieres not long after. (And let’s not forget Moon Knight coming out on March 30.)

That’s a lotta high-profile content coming to Disney+! And based on the trailer, Ms. Marvel looks pretty charming. Watch below:

Ms. Marvel revolves around Kamala Khan, played here by Iman Vellani as a goofy teenager obsessed with the Avengers. Kamala is a pretty recent addition to the Marvel canon, and I like how the trailer gives her room to be a wide-eyed kid in addition to a crime-fighter. “I’m a superhero!” she enthuses at the end of the trailer before running down the street with his hands in the air. C’mon, that’s just fun.

Ms. Marvel release date

Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8. And that’s not the last time we’ll see the character. She’ll also show up alongside Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) in The Marvels, which is due out on February 17, 2023.

Like everything else Marvel Studios makes, Ms. Marvel is intended to fit into the wider franchise. Will it still be a satisfying watch on its own? We’ll find out soon enough.
