Jodie Whittaker has two episodes left as the Doctor on Doctor Who before she leaves and hands the role off to a brand new actor. We don’t know who that actor is, or exactly when the transition will happen, but we do have some stills from the next episode, “Legend of the Sea Devils.”

This will be one last “normal” Doctor Who episode before what is sure to be a big regeneration special. “Legend of the Sea Devils” will see the Doctor and her companions travel back to 19th century China where they find a coastal village under attack from a pirate queen named Madame Ching (Crystal Yu). That sounds bad enough, but Madame Ching also inadvertently awakes a monstrous alien force, presumably our sea devils. The show’s official Twitter pulled back the curtain on what they look like:

Kind of like an angry Yoda, no?

“Legend of the Sea Devils” release date

The Sea Devils have actually appeared on Doctor Who before, in a 1984 serial titled “Warriors of the Deep” starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor. It’s kind of surprising it took the revival this long to get around to them.

The episode will premiere on April 17.

After that, Whittaker has one final episode coming later this year, after which a new actor will take over for season 14. Russel T Davies, the guy who revived Doctor Who way back in 2005, will return as showrunner.
