The Frog Lady actress is returning for The Mandalorian season 3
By Dan Selcke
Misty Rosas, who played the Frog Lady (among other parts) on The Mandalorian, is returning for season 3, hopefully this year.
The Mandalorian seems to have a talent for introducing new characters into the Star Wars universe that the fandom comes to name and love. First there was Baby Yoda, a moniker that has stuck despite the eventual reveal that his real name is Grogu. And in the second season, we met the Frog Lady, an alien whom Din Djarin escorted back to her home world.
Under all those prosthetics, the Frog Lady was played by Misty Rosas, who is returning for season 3! We know that because she slipped up and posted an image of herself wearing a “The Mandalorian season 3” tee-shirt and accompanying face mask. She quickly took that post down, no doubt at Disney’s behest, but not before it was noticed and archived by Star Wars News Net. The internet is forever, after all.
All that said, just because Rosas is in season 3 doesn’t mean that Frog Lady is coming back. Rosas specializes in playing characters hidden under lots of makeup in prosthetics; she also played Kuiil — the gruff alien voiced by Nick Nolte — in The Mandalorian season 1. So it’s possible she’s playing some new alien creature this time.
That said, I’d love to see Frog Lady return, not only because she was a delightful creation, but also because Baby Yoda ate some of her eggs and I want to see if she gets revenge for the consumption of her children.
But it probably won’t go that dark. We don’t know when The Mandalorian season 3 will debut, but filming has wrapped, so we’re hoping for later this year.
