AMC is adapting Anne Rice’s novel Interview With The Vampire as a TV series. Who plays the lead roles of Louis and Lestat?

Playing Louis, the forlorn New Orleans aristocrat who is turned into a vampire, is Jacob Anderson, who Game of Thrones fans will remember as the Unsullied warrior Grey Worm. Meanwhile, Australian actor Sam Reid plays Lestat, who does the turning.

The relationship between these two forms the basis for the drama in the story, it’s important that the two leads be chosen well. Then there’s the third member of their family, Claudia, a young girl whom Louis and Lestat save from an early death by turning her into a vampire, although they come to question the wisdom and morality of this choice later on. She will be played on the new show by Bailey Bass.

Interview With The Vampire AMC is not coming in April 2022

If the show hits like AMC wants it to, Interview With The Vampire could be the first of several TV series based on the work of Anne Rice. The network also has the rights to Rice’s Mayfair Witches series.

That said, we have a while to wait before we see if people take to this reimagining of Rice’s story. We don’t have an exact release date yet, although if the network is releasing images, we can probably expect it along sometime later this year.
