The trailer for the fourth season of Stranger Things is here! Check it out below and learn about the upcoming season:

There’s a lot going on in that trailer. Since the end of the third season, the characters have been spread out all over the map. The Byers family moved out to California and took Eleven with them. Despite seeming to die at the end of season 3, Jim Hopper is somehow in Siberia, and the rest of the characters remain in Hawkins, Indiana. We can bet that they’ll all be together by the end, though.

The other big draw is the introduction of a spooky new villain called Verca; that’s the humanoid-looking guy who looks like a walking corpse. We’re guessing he’s from the Upside Down, but if so, he’d be the first thing from that alternate dimension who can talk and who looks more or less human. It looks like the show has its big bad for its final two seasons.

And yes, there are two seasons left before the end. So season 4 will be the windup and season 5 the big finish.

Season 4 will consist of nine episodes, which isn’t out of the ordinary, but they’ll all be much longer than usual. They’re so long, in fact, that Netflix is releasing them in two chunks: one on May 27 and another on July 1. This will be a ramp-up for the ages!
