Marvel is leaking, y’all. The studio’s next big movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is right around the corner, and it promises to be major event. Like Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s all about the multiverse, a cross-dimensional space where anything can happen…and where anyone can turn up.

Ahead of No Way Home, Marvel was doing its best to keep a lid on the fact that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were returning to once again play Peter Parker, this time alongside Tom Holland’s new edition. This time, it’s pretty much an open secret that Patrick Stewart will appear in Doctor Strange 2, marking the first time Marvel has used a character from Fox’s live-action X-Men movies since Disney bought that studio.

Apparently it’s so open that Marvel Studios Canada went ahead and posted a quick, 15-second teaser showing Stewart’s hand resting on Professor X’s sci-fi wheelchair; in this case, it looks like the chair from X-Men: The Animated Series rather than the live-action movies. The multiverse can be weird like that. The teaser was removed shortly after it went up yesterday, but because the internet is forever, you can watch it here.

Captain Carter will also turn up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The teaser also gave us a brief glimpse of Peggy Carter’s Captain Carter, a variation on the character introduced in the Marvel series What If…?

There’s no telling how deep this rabbit hole goes. In No Way Home, the cameos were limited to characters from Spider-Man movies. In Multiverse of Madness, anyone from any corner of Marvel could show up. It’s gonna be a feeding frenzy of cameo appearances.

Who else will show up for this adventure? You can find out when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out in theaters on May 6, next week.

Next. Have any of these 15 shows become “the next Game of Thrones”?. dark
