Between The MandalorianThe Book of Boba FettAhsoka, and many more series either on the air or on the way, Disney is blitzing fans with content. And they are by no means done. According to Gizmodo, a curious entry appeared on the schedule for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim…before mysteriously disappearing. When that convention happens next month, there will be a panel about a new animated series called Tales of the Jedi. Dave Filoni, one of the big brains before the expanding Star Wars Television Universe, will be on it.

We don’t know what Tales could be about, but there was a Dark Horse comic series called Tales of the Jedi published in the ’90s. That series told tales of disparate Jedi who lived thousands of years before the Luke Skywalker was born; the series was the inspiration behind the video game Knights of the Old Republic, which remains a favorite to this day.

So perhaps the show will be an anthology series in the vein of Star Wars: Visions, where each episode stands on its own. We’ll learn more when the Star Wars Celebration goes down on May 26-29.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will draw on the same sources that George Lucas drew on for the Original Trilogy

While the Celebration is going on, we’ll be watching the premiere of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, a live-action series that features the returns of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen as Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker (now Darth Vader) respectively.

For this series, director Deborah Chow went back to the well from which George Lucas drew when he was making the original Star Wars; it’s pretty known that he took a lot of inspiration from Japanese director Arika Kurosawa’s 1958 movie The Hidden Fortress.

“I love Kurosawa,” Chow told Total Film, per Games Radar. “There’s such a strong correlation for me between the Jedi and the Ronin – particularly in this period where all the Jedi are being hunted. I was really looking at what you do if you’re the last samurai. You’re more than just a warrior. There’s also an ethical code that goes along with it, in a world that’s vastly changed. That really had a pretty big effect on what we were trying to do.”

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on May 27.
