Sadie Sink: Stranger Things season 4 is the “most bizarre” yet
By Dan Selcke
Over three seasons of Stranger Things, a group of scrappy kids from Hawkins, Indiana have been in and out of dark dimensions, made friends with a telekinetic, and gone to their first school dance. But that was all just a warmup. “It’s the most bizarre season we’ve ever had,” star Sadie Sink told People about the show’s upcoming fourth season. “Just the scale of it is out of this world.”
"We get to explore a lot of different themes and different sides of the characters that everyone knows and loves, so I’m looking forward to it."
The fourth season does look to expand things a lot. The season won’t take place just in Hawkins. Some of the characters remain there, but Eleven (Mille Bobby Brown) and the Byers family are out in California and Hopper (David Harbour) is somehow a prisoner in Soviet Russia. However that happened, things are sprawling like never before.
Expect “a wild episode” for Max in Stranger Things season 4
As for Sink’s character Max, there’s a moment in one of the trailers where she’s hovering over her brother’s grave. How does that happen? Obviously, Sink isn’t spilling, but called it “a wild episode.” She also confirmed what we already knew and said the new villain Vecna is “really scary.”
Stranger Things 4 is the penultimate season of the show; the whole thing will end with season 5, before these actors get too old to convincingly play children. “I would go on forever if they wanted to,” Sink said. “We’ve built a family at this point and it’s a really special and unique bond. I’m going to miss everyone.”
But that won’t be for awhile. Stranger Things season 4 premieres on May 27. Half the episodes will drop. The rest will arrive on July 1.
