Amazon Prime Video’s sci-fi comedy Upload has more (after)life left in it: SYFY Wire reports that Amazon has renewed the show for a third season.

Upload stars Arrowverse alum Robbie Amell as Nathan, one of millions who has his mind uploaded to a cyber afterlife community known as Lakeview. It’s a high concept show that plays like a comedy version of the the Black Mirror episode “San Junipero”.  Upload is quirky, strange, creative and addicting.

The show is also created by Greg Daniels, who created The Office and Parks and Recreation after writing for The Simpsons and King of the Hill. If anybody knows comedy, it’s this guy.

Upload will return for another season on Amazon Prime Video!

“I’m thrilled to continue the story of Nathan and Nora and the other residents of Lakeview and near-future America as they try to have fun and do the right thing in both the real and virtual worlds,” Daniels said in a statement. The head of global television for Amazon Studios, Vernon Sanders, said that Upload has become one of “the most watched-comedy originals on Prime Video.”

In the second season, Nathan finds himself at a fork in the road after his ex-girlfriend, Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) shows up at Lakeview hoping to revive their relationship. But all is not what it seems, and Nathan is put through the wringer as he learns Ingrid’s true motivations. All the while, he’s still head over heels in love with Nora (Andy Allo), who works as his Lakeview customer service agent.

I’m definitely excited for Upload Season 3 and can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for Nora and Nathan. It’s going to be a fun ride, folks!
