Netflix isn’t the only streaming service that can cancel shows! According to Variety, Hulu’s off-the-wall Marvel series M.O.D.O.K. is over after one season.

M.O.D.O.K. is about a mad scientist Marvel supervillain with a huge head who gets around in his hover-chair. The show leaned hard into the comedy of it all, showing how M.O.D.O.K. tried to balance his desire to be the world’s greatest supervillain with his desire for a normal family life. The title character was voiced by Patton Oswalt, who brought all of his geeky enthusiasm to the role; the show was thick with obscure Marvel references to stuff you aren’t going to see in the MCU, and if you do, it won’t be this willfully weird:

M.O.D.O.K. was one of the few remaining Marvel shows not running on Disney+. Being on Hulu, it could get away with working a little more blue. It was a unique beast so far as Marvel shows go, which makes it a shame that it’s gone.

Patton Oswalt mourns M.O.D.O.K. cancellation

Oswalt, in typical good humor, weighed in on the sad news on Twitter:

The first and only season of M.O.D.O.K. is streaming on Hulu now. Maybe the character can show up in the MCU now, what with the multiverse providing all sorts of opportunities for wacky characters to get into the mix.
