The Star Wars universe is expanding, whether you want it to or not. The Mandalorian is a hit on Disney+, but that’s just the beginning. Many more Star Wars shows are headed to the service, including Obi-Wan KenobiAhsokaThe Acolyte and Andor, not to mention a few more movies in production.

This explosion of Star Wars stuff means that Disney is in desperate need of content. The second season of The Mandalorian brought in some characters from the Star Wars animated shows overseen by Dave Filoni, who is now working on the live-action side. That includes Ahsoka, who invoked the name of a popular villain who featured in the show Star Wars Rebels: Thrawn.

Grand Admiral Thrawn, who got his start in a series of Star Wars novels in the early ’90s, is a military commander who leads remnants of the Empire against the New Republic. He is mean, he is blue, and a lot of fans think Benedict Cumberbatch would do a great job of playing him.

Here’s what Benedict Cumberbatch would look like as Thrawn from Star Wars

We don’t know who will ultimately play Thrawn, but given that Cumberbatch already plays Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — another Disney property — we know they at least have his phone number.

Fans are getting ahead of things. The artist apexform created a great image of what Cumberbatch might look like as this iconic blue baddie. Check it out here.

The next Star Wars show to come out is Obi-Wan Kenobi, which premieres on May 27.
