Between his beloved role as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian and his upcoming portrayal of Joel Miller in HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation, Pedro Pascal is a very, very busy man. At the moment, he’s feeling proud to be involved in two exciting shows, even though it can be draining to film both at the same time. “I don’t think I can handle a third, to be honest with you. I couldn’t be happier with being a part of these two experiences,” he told Collider.

Let’s give it a few years before we begin fan-casting him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So one of Pascal’s shows is set in the iconic Star Wars universe and the other is a zombie story adapted from of one of the most acclaimed video games ever, They sound pretty different, but Pascal thinks that they complement each other nicely. “I find them in such interesting relationship with one another,” he said. “I think that the love that [The Mandalorian producers] Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have for these stories is exactly why they’re so beautiful to experience. And I will have to say the same for the people behind what we will eventually see in The Last of Us.”

The Mandalorian season 4 is already in the works

There’s a slew of Star Wars projects coming in the next few years: Ahsoka, Tales of the Jedi, Andor, Young Jedi Adventures, and so on. However, none of them are as exciting as The Mandalorian. The next season of the show is already confirmed for next year, and Jon Favreau recently teased that season 4 is already in the works.

“With television, we’re very lucky that we don’t have to rush things through into an hour-and-a-half, two hours. We get to tell stories slowly,” he told CinemaBlend. “So now, as Dave [Filoni]’s doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing that I’m doing for [The Mandalorian] Season 4. It becomes – how should I put it – more precise.”

There’s always a chance we could see Mando pop up in other shows, too. He’s already played a key role in The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian season 3 is set to premiere in February 2023. Meanwhile, a release window for HBO’s The Last of Us is still out of sight, but a 2023 premiere seems pretty likely!
