The last time we saw Westworld was May 2020, when the pandemic had still just begun and the world was uncertain and scary. In the two years since we’ve been anxiously awaiting updates on the award-winning show’s next installment — and now we have them!

Well, sort of. We all know that the network, the cast, and the creators like to keep quiet about any major details, but during a panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, we got some intel.

James Marsden, who played Teddy Flood in the first two seasons, made an appearance and announced he’d be coming back. During the panel, HBO also released some key art for the upcoming season which premieres on Sunday, June 26 on HBO at 9 p.m. EST.

It’s all very exciting, and I simply cannot wait to see what comes next. There are so many burning questions! Where are Caleb (Aaron Paul) and Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) now? What was the post-credit scene with Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) all about?

Here’s what we learned from the panel below (and no, we didn’t get much, but that’s okay!).

Westworld season 4 updates

Along with Marsden, the panel included co-creator Lisa Joy, writer and executive producer Alison Schapker, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, and Aurora Perrineau.

Marsden just made a quick appearance to announce his return, but other than that, we got absolutely no hints. But don’t worry, Joy did share some other tidbits.

We officially know that Dolores Abernathy is dead, but Wood is absolutely returning to the show — as a new character. There was no way they could do the show without Wood in some capacity so I’m relieved to know that she will be back.

Perrineau is a new cast member, but Joy did not give fans her name or anything about her character. In fact, she said she would “reveal absolutely nothing!”

These changes are good news for fans as the show hit a bit of a lull after its epic first season. I have a feeling Westworld season 4 will go above and beyond our expectations, so buckle up, folks, because things are about to get wild! You can watch the teaser below.
