Maisie Williams is back on the small screen in Pistol, a musical biopic about the iconic British punk band the Sex Pistols. That also means she’s out on the press trail, which includes stopping by Wired to answer the most popular questions about herself asked on Google.

She gives some fun insights here, including reflecting on how she’s never acted before getting cast on Game of Thrones (she has the date she was cast, August 7, 2009, tattooed on her arm); and revealing that she’d love to play British singer Kate Bush, who’s recently back in the news after one of her songs was featured on Stranger Things.

She also answers some specific questions about Game of Thrones, or rather reveals that there are no answers. For instance, some folks wanted to know whether Arya Stark didn’t kill Jaime Lannister when they were both at the Twins in the season 6 finale, “The Winds of Winter.” That’s the same episode where Arya killed Walder Frey.

“I don’t know. Probably plot hole courtesy of David and Dan, so take it up with them,” Williams said, referring to Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss. The two of them were exposed to a lot of vitriol following the end of the show, so Williams quickly backtracked on that one. “No, don’t; they’ve had enough,” she laughed. “Yeah, I’m not sure. She probably just didn’t feel like it that day. She was busy, washing her hair.”

It’s true that Jaime wasn’t on her list…you know how strict Arya is about that thing.

Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner are “still in love”

Another question involved “what happened” to Maisie Williams and her Game of Thrones costar Sophie Turner, who had a famously close relationship on set. “Nothing happened,” Williams assured fans. “We don’t live in the same continent anymore, which is heartbreaking, but whenever she’s in the UK, or whenever I’m here, then we try to hang out. Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner are still in love.”

In addition to Pistol, Williams is also working on the Apple TV+ drama The New Look, where she plays Catherine Dior, a World War II-era resistance fighter and the sister of famed fashion designer Christian Dior. There’s no release date for that one yet.

Confirmed: Vecna from Stranger Things was influenced by the Night King. dark. Next
