Jurassic World: Dominion end credits scene

After 65 million years, the wait is finally over. Dinosaurs once more roam the Earth in Jurassic World: Dominion, the final chapter of Colin Trevorrow’s sequel trilogy to the Jurassic Park films. Everything about this movie feels like a huge grand finale, from the fact that dinosaurs are now free to roam the planet to the return of original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Sam Neill (Alan Grant), and Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm).

But in this age of sequels and reboots, does anything really end? A trend that has gained a ton of popularity over the past couple decades is end-credits scenes attached to major blockbuster films, which often tease what lies ahead in the next installment. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom had a post-credits scene that showed some pterodactyls arriving in Las Vegas, setting up the co-existence conflict of Dominion. So it’s reasonable to wonder if Dominion has one as well.

Jurassic World: Dominion after credits

The short answer is no, Jurassic World: Dominion does not have an end credits scene. Once the credits roll, you’ve seen all there is to see of the movie (aside from a lengthy list of those who helped make it possible, of course).

And really, this makes a lot of sense. Colin Trevorrow previously stated that Jurassic World: Dominion is the “culmination of the franchise,” and it really does have the feeling of being a huge bookend to the series. The first Jurassic Park novel by Michael Crichton questioned what would happen if dinosaurs actually escaped the island, and now, we finally get to see that grand idea realized. Add in the return of Goldblum, Neill, and Dern, who have never all appeared in the same Jurassic film since the original 1993 movie, and things start to feel pretty final.

You can bet your last piece of amber that Universal Studios is thinking about making more of these movies down the line if Dominion conquers the box office, though. This is Hollywood, people. Even when movie franchises go extinct, there’s always a way to bring them back. Life finds a way.

Jurassic World: Dominion is out now in theaters.
