“Hawkins will fall,” Dr. Brenner tells Eleven in the trailer for the final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4. Yeesh, that sounds intense. When did Stranger Things become Lord of the Rings?

Or maybe it’s Star Wars; we see Eleven leaving that underground training facility against Dr. Brenner’s wishes; he doesn’t think she’s “ready.” It’s all very Luke-leaving-Dagobah-to-face-Darth-Vader-before-he’s-completed-his-training in The Empire Strikes Back. Eleven is heading for a rematch with Vecna, but considering we have another season to go after this one, I suspect she’ll lose this round.

As for our Hawkins crew, they’re apparently in a trailer together, cruising down the road. Well, obviously they’re in a trailer, but I mean, like, one with wheels. You can check out the trailer trailer below:

Lucas beats the tar out of Jason in the new Stranger Things trailer

The trailer prominently features Kate Bush’s song “Running Up That Hill,” which became such a huge hit after it was highlighted in the first seven episodes of the season. The Kate Bush renaissance continues!

I also see Eddie taking a guitar off the wall. My guess is he’s going to shred somewhere in the Upside Down as a way of resisting Vecna’s influence; remember, music is how you fight him. Stranger Things is a rocker power fantasy! It’s also good to see Lucas punching Jason; that’s long overdue.

The final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4 drop on Netflix on July 1. And lest you think this is a paltry offering next to the seven we got back in May, keep in mind that the season finale is a staggering two-and-a-half hours long. It’s gonna get crazy.
