Does Steve Harrington die in Stranger Things 4 Volume 2?

Volume 2 of Stranger Things 4 is here, and the heads are rolling. Season 4 saw our teenage heroes facing off against the deadly villain Vecna, aka Henry Creel, aka One, the first psychic child experimented on by Hawkins Lab who was twisted by years spent in the Upside Down. With a two-and-a-half hour season finale that may as well be called Stranger Things: The Movie, things got more chaotic and dangerous than ever in Volume 2.

Given that the Hawkins gang was going after Vecna, we knew to expect a body count in Volume 2. And there’s one character in particular that has sent the internet into a panic: Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), whose immaculate hair and good-natured charm have made him one of the most beloved characters on the show. Steve is always on the front lines of battle, and Volume 2 is no exception, with him leading the mission into Vecna’s lair.

Vecna’s already claimed several victims. Was Steve one of them?

Does Steve die in Stranger Things?

While Steve, Nancy, and Robin do sneak into Vecna’s lair and end up having more than one close brush with death, we’re happy to report that Steve Harrington is not among those who met their demise in Volume 2 of Stranger Things. Despite being choked by Upside Down tentacles and bitten by Demobats this season, Steve survived to fight another day. Others weren’t so lucky.
