What are the cast members of Game of Thrones up to nowadays? So much, starting with Pedro Pascal getting a role in a new film from Pedro Almodóvar, the Spanish director behind movies like Women on the Verge of a Nervous BreakdownVolver and The Skin I Live In. This guy has been making bangers for decades, and his newest will be a half-hour western he’s financing himself: Strange Way of Life.

Strange Way Of Life will also star Ethan Hawke. It’s about a man named Silva who crosses the desert to reunite with an old friend, Sheriff Jake, after not seeing each other for 25 years. After celebrating their reunion, Sheriff Jake reveals “that the real reason for his visit isn’t memories of their old friendship….”

Almodóvar has said he considers this movie his answer to Brokeback Mountain, a film he was in the running to direct back in the day. So while we can’t jump to conclusions, the real reason Sheriff Jake wants to see Silva again probably has less to do with friendship and move with the love that dare not speak its name.

Also, Almodóvar has gone on record as saying that if he had directed Brokeback Mountain, it would have featured a lot more gay sex. So…there may be some interesting discussions about Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke online whenever this movie comes out.

Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) becomes salmon salesman

Moving on, Undercurrent News — which is a site that reports news about seafood, by the way — has it that seafood company Mowi is hiring Game of Thrones alum Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) to star in a bunch of commercials for salmon. You can see him doing that, right?

“He is now going to be the ambassador for the Mowi brand going forward,” said Mowi executive Ola Brattvoll. “He has a very strong traction among younger consumers, especially millennials, they love him. He’s authentic, he’s trustworthy and he has a Nordic personality, which fits very well with the personality of the Mowi brand.”

As a millennial, I confirm that I find Hivju to be authentic and trustworthy; whatever fish he tells me to buy, I will. The commercials are due to air in the fall.

Finally, for no particular reason, we have a couple of Game of Thrones cast members posing the house down in some stunning lewks. First there’s Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) at the Cannes Film Festival:

And then there’s Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), showing that the king of the Six Kingdoms knows how to rock an oversized, monochromatic outfit:

Jeez, those are big pants. And Wright is, like, six feet tall, so they’re really big pants.

What other wild feats of daring-do will the Game of Thrones cast members pull off in the future? You’ll know when we know.

Next. Season 3 of Jason Momoa’s post-apocalyptic drama See will be its last. dark
