It’s been three years since we’ve gotten any new episodes of Netflix’s sci-fi horror anthology series Black Mirror, but things are moving on its upcoming sixth season. Variety just revealed a slew of new castings announcements, including some pretty big names.

The stars we now know are joining Black Mirror for its sixth season are Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), Paapa Essiedu (Gangs of London, The Lazarus Project), Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor, 30 Days of Night), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Westworld), Kate Mara (Call Jane), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Clara Rugaard (The Rising), Auden Thornton (This Is Us) and Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts).

It’s a pretty stacked cast with a good mix of established actors and up-and-comers. Hartnett and Paul in particular are pretty huge names, with the former having starred in tons of big movies over the years. Black Mirror has a history of excellent casting. Season 5 featured Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus, and received pretty much blanket praise for its thought-provoking storytelling.

Black Mirror season 6 set to be the biggest yet

Perhaps most exciting of all about this announcement is that Variety’s sources say these cast members are only attached to three episodes of the show. That’s the same amount of episodes that comprised season 5, however season 6 is reported to run longer than its predecessor. That means that that there’s likely still more on the way. Who else will feature in these dystopian cautionary tales?

We’ll find out in the coming days. In the meantime, season 1-5 of Black Mirror are available to stream on Netflix.
