Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt (U.S. Agent from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) give some star power to Godzilla and the Titans.

Marvel has the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and everyone has a bunch of other stuff. For instance, Universal is doing its best to make a “Monsterverse” based on the Godzilla movies it’s been putting out since 2014, starting with 2014’s Godzilla through last year’s Godzilla vs. Kong. In one of these films, the world finally caught on that giant monsters existed; how they missed it during the earlier films where these skyscraper-sized beasts were laying each other out, I don’t know, but this sets the stage for an upcoming Godzilla TV series.

The show is called Godzilla and the Titans and will air on Apple TV+. We already know that it will star Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski. It revolves around a family uncovering their connection to Monarch, an organization dedicated to studying these huge creatures.

And now the show is getting some star power. According to Deadline, movie star Kurt Russell — who hasn’t been on TV since the original Hawaii Five-0 in 1977 — has joined the series in an undisclosed role. He’ll be joined by his son Wyatt Russell, who you may recognize as the guy who played John Walker, aka Evil Captain America, in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+.

We don’t know who either of them playing, or if they’ll play father and son, or if Kurt will play Godzilla and Wyatt Mothra. Probably that one.

There’s no word on when Godzilla and the Titans will premiere, but they’re getting rolling on production.
