All the actors in House of The Dragon, and who they’re playing
David Horovitch as Grand Maester Mellos
Grand Maester Mellos was the Grand Maester to King Viserys I Targaryen, and will likely be in the office when the story begins. He was a moderating voice on the king’s small council, always urging caution and compromise, whether it was over foreign wars or conflicts between members of the king’s own family. He also helped reconcile the king with his younger brother Daemon, with whom he had a stormy relationship. The king considered Mellos a personal friend.
As for David Horovitch, he’s been working in theaters and on TV for 40 years, appearing on many popular British TV shows. He’s probably best known for playing the character of Inspector Slack in Miss Marple. Grand Maester Mellos isn’t a huge role, but it’s in good hands.
House of the Dragon characters not yet cast
The Dance of the Dragon involves a whole lot of characters, and we haven’t seen them all cast yet. Kingsguard members like Steffon Darklyn and Lorent Marbrand have yet to be cast, for instance. There are also other child actors we have yet to see. And there are other characters who won’t come in until later in the story.
So there’s still some ways to go, but the end is in sight. The cast is big, and we can’t wait to see them act out this drama.
