Each month, we read over the latest dispatches from the front lines of the Streaming Wars and assess how the likes of Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and the rest are doing. Who won the day, who was defeated, and who’s biding their time? We mark it all down on this living graph, which changes every month.

How did the combatants fare in July of 2022? Take a look:

Paramount+

This month, Paramount+ wrapped up original series like South Park: Streaming Wars and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and debuted the new high school comedy series Honor Society, starring Stranger Things veteran Gaten Matarazzo. Not awful, not great. Points: +2

Netflix

Once again, Netflix lost subscribers, which may be a sore point for a while. But it’s impossible not to give it points when it had monster hits like Stranger Things season 4 and The Gray Man. Points: +1

Disney+

The only big original release this past month were the final couple episodes of Ms. Marvel. It was light for Disney+ in July, but they’re saving some big guns for August. Points: + 1

Hulu

Hulu continued to air spectacular new episodes of The Orville, started running the fourth season of What We Do In The Shadows, and brought some big reality guns with The Bachelorette and Are You The One? Points: +2

HBO Max

This month, HBO Max debuted new seasons of Tuca & Bertie, Harley Quinn, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and FBoy Island along with a lot of library titles and a smattering of other original content. Not terrible, not terrific. Points: + 2

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon started the month with the Chris Pratt drama The Terminal List and ended with the Stranger Things-esque supernatural series Paper Girls, with a couple other original releases in between. Points: + 2

Apple TV+

In addition to continuing seasons of Physical and For All Mankind, the biggest original release on Apple TV+ this month was the prison drama Black Bird. Points: + 2

Peacock

The biggest titles coming to Peacock in July were probably the streaming debut of animated comedy The Bad Guys and new episodes of Love Island. We can’t in good conscience give the service more than one point on this go-round. Points: + 1
