If you have been watching Doctor Who from day one, or have seen the older seasons, then you’ll know who Maureen O’Brien is. She was last seen on-screen in 1965 when she played Vicki, companion to the First Doctor (William Hartnell). Now, decades later, she’s returned to reprise her role in a new scene.

You can hear O’Brien below in a trailer for the release of the Doctor Who season 2 Blu-ray set. Vicki remembers her wild adventures with the Doctor and his friends. She references how Vicki’s story ended in 1965 in “The Myth Makers,” when she left the TARDIS after falling in love with the Trojan warrior Troilus.

But who exactly is she telling these tales to? The trailer reveals she’s talking about her timey-wimey past with her granddaughter, which establishes that Vicki stayed in the 12th century BC, and had one child, at least.
