We’re all enjoying the new Game of Thrones show House of the Dragon on HBO, but what are the stars of the original show up to? As usual, plenty.
Let’s start with Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), who is appearing in a production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London through September 10. But if you can’t get there, a version of the production is going to be shown in movie theaters across the world in November! You can check out tickets for that here.

Jason Momoa excited to play a villain in Fast X
Meanwhile, Clarke’s onscreen husband Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) is talking up his upcoming role as a villain in next year’s Fast X. “Time of my life,” he told Variety. “I get to be the bad guy finally. I’ve been the good guy for a while.”
"He’s very sadistic and androgynous and he’s a bit of a peacock… He’s got a lot of issues, this guy. He’s definitely got some daddy issues."
Fast X will be out in 2023. So will Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, where Momoa will play a more traditional hero. And the third season of See, his post-apocalyptic Apple TV+ drama, premieres tomorrow! Guy is everywhere.
Nathalie Emmanuel thought House of the Dragon had “a strong first episode!”
We assume some of the Game of Thrones veterans are watching House of the Dragon, but Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) was kind enough to share her thoughts on Twitter. “I’m all caught up with episode 1 of #HouseOfTheDragonHBO … SO exciting!” she wrote. “And thought it was a strong first episode!!!”
And Emmanuel has her own projects to show off as well, including her horror movie The Invitation:
Finally, Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) posted a picture of himself with legendary director Pedro Almodóvar:
The two are working together on Almodóvar’s new short film Strange Way of Life. That’s two great Pedros, one great project. Everyone’s a winner!
