The third season of The Umbrella Academy dropped in June. It was a success, staying in the top 10 of Netflix for five weeks. Still, given how expensive the show is — and how Netflix is getting more cautious about renewing stuff — a fourth season wasn’t certain.

But it’s happening! The official Twitter for the show confirmed as much this morning. The dysfunctional Hargreeves siblings will go on more apocalyptic adventure before (hopefully) catching a break:

“I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago,” said showrunner Steve Blackman, per Deadline. “But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”

The Umbrella Academy showrunner will create a Netflix series based on Horizon: Zero Dawn

Returning cast members include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore. We don’t know when the fourth and final season might drop, but apparently it has been largely written.

As for Blackman, he’s already lining up his next Netflix projects: an adaptation of the PlayStation open world game Horizon: Zero Dawn and a drama about the International Space Station called Orbital.

Finally, because apparently Netflix is in a renewing mood, now is the moment when I remind the streamer that the first season of The Sandman has been in the number one spot on the service for three weeks running and has been watched for around 274,220,000 hours. I know it’s only tangentially related, but surely you guys can renew more than one show today, right?
