We’ve got our early, spoiler-free impressions of The Rings of Power! Also, we find out about the House of the Dragon co-showrunner leaving while we record. Get our unfiltered reactions:

Our cup runneth over these days on Take the Black. Not only is House of the Dragon in full swing, but Amazon is about to debut its fabulously expensive Lord of the Rings show, The Rings of Power. If you like swords and dragons and magic and stuff like that, it is a good time to be watching TV.

The Rings of Power premieres tomorrow, but we’ve seen the first two episodes ahead of time. We give our spoiler-free impressions below; they start around the 27:16 mark.

Of course, we also spare a care for what’s going on in Westeros. We spare several cares, actually. We get the news that co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik is leaving the show literally while we’re recording, so you get to see our live reactions to that.

The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and Google Play! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.

We stream new episodes of Take the Black every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. CST on the WinterIsComing Facebook and YouTube pages. We’re also reviewing each new episode of House of the Dragon right after it airs on Sunday nights at the same places. Join the discussion!
