Kit Harington is “really enjoying” House of the Dragon
By Dan Selcke
HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel show House of the Dragon is a hit! But what do the cast members from the original show make of it?
ET Canada recently caught up with one of them, asking Kit Harington (Jon Snow) if he was watching the new show. As it ends up, Harington is “really enjoying it.”
"I think they’ve done a fantastic job. It’s a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it its own thing and I think that they’ve really done that."
Harington also appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he said that he had “a real palpable fear of sitting down and watching [House of the Dragon],” given that it was a Game of Thrones show he wasn’t involved in. But then he watched it and realized, “It’s a different thing. It’s a different show, it’s different people.”
"And I just felt overwhelming support for them, and really proud of what they’d done…I think that they’ve done a really good show and it’s its own thing and it’s really hard to follow up a big show like that and I think they’ve nailed it and made it their own and that’s great."
At the moment, Harington is trying to return to Westeros by developing a Jon Snow sequel show. We’ll see if that gets off the ground.
Emilia Clarke thinks we’re “really going to like” Secret Invasion
Game of Thrones had a huge ensemble cast, but Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) may have gotten the most press. Clarke is ready to make her debut in another huge franchise: she’ll appear in the Marvel Secret Invasion. She got breathlessly excited about it on her Instagram:
"Jeeeze Louise, Marvel let me into their world…Their world that includes SAMUEL L FREAKING JACKSON! OLIVIA COLEMAN! BEN MENDELSOHN! Can’t believe they let me and my star struckness near this much talent, I also can’t believe I managed to get words out without dissolving into a fangurl. But here we are, and I really think you’re gonna like it. I sure do"
Secret Invasion will come out sometime next year.
Speaking of the woman who played Daenerys, let’s catch up with the actor who played her right-hand woman Missandei: Nathalie Emmaneul stars in a music video for a song called “Kill For Your Love” by Labrinth. Check it out:
Finally, did you notice that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) showed up in the most recent episode of Rick and Morty, playing the leader of a group of terrorists doing their best to recreate Die Hard? Game of Thrones stars are everywhere.
