Hard as it is to admit, we’ve finally seen the last of Milly Alcock and Emily Carey in the roles of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower on House of the Dragon. Next week, Episode 6 will jump forward several years and actors Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke will take their place.

The next episode is called “The Princess and the Queen.” Watch the trailer below:

The next episode will take place roughly 10 years after the last. The friendship between Alicent and Rhaenyra is well and truly over. Each of them have children now, and Alicent is firmly convinced that the only way to protect hers from execution is to keep Rhaenyra off the Iron Throne.

Who are Rhaenyra and Alicent’s children?

We already met Alicent’s children Aegon and Helaena. They’ll be walking and talking and probably scheming and plotting now that they’re older. Episode 6 will also introduce us to her younger sons by King Viserys, Aemond and Daeron. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra has three sons by Laenor Velaryon: Lucerys, Jacaerys and Joffrey. Some whisper that Rhaenyra’s sons weren’t actually fathered by Laenor; given that we know he’s gay, that could be worth looking into. We’ll find out for sure this upcoming Sunday.

It’s basically a whole new show. Exciting stuff!
