The cast and crew of The Wheel of Time are at New York Comic Con talking up the upcoming second season, which comes complete with a brand new teaser! Check out the first footage from The Wheel of Time season 2 below:
We’ve got Moiraine talking about the Forsaken, who are major villains from the book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. We’ve got more of the show’s wonderfully colorful sets and costumes, which were definitely a highlight of the first season and help the show stand out from other fantasy shows like House of the Dragon or The Witcher. We’ve got our first look at actor Dónal Finn taking over for Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon, and we’ve got Lan and Rand both serving beefcake shots. Not a bad teaser!
The Wheel of Time found an audience when it premiered on Amazon Prime Video back in 2021, although it’s since been pushed to the side a bit by Amazon’s other huge fantasy show, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It’ll be fun to see it back. Honestly, now that The Rings of Power is almost over, I think I can safely say that I enjoyed The Wheel of Time more. But hey, there’s room for everyone in the house that Jeff Bezos built.
We don’t have an exact release date for The Wheel of Time season 2 yet, but expect it sometime next year.
