HBO has yet to renew Westworld for a fifth and final season. However, creator Jonathan Nolan appears hopeful that the network will give his show the farewell it deserves. I mean, they better, we finally got a season that reminded us of the epic first season!

Nolan stopped by New York Comic Con this weekend to promote his new Amazon Prime Video series The PeripheralDuring the panel, a fan asked him for an update regarding Westworld. Here’s what he had to say.

So…is Westworld getting renewed?

“We always planned for a fifth and final season,” Nolan said. “We are still in conversations with the network. We very much hope to make them.” HBO, what are you doing?! Make it happen! There are shows outside of House of the Dragon, you know!

HBO usually renews its shows while the current season is airing. But perhaps the recent merger  with Discovery has caused a delay in the renewal of Westworld. As long as they don’t cancel it, I’m good! They wouldn’t do that…would they?

The fourth season took us for a loop as Caleb (Aaron Paul), Maeve (Thandiwe Newton), and Christina (Evan Rachel Wood) found themselves navigating a new era for the series. Long gone were the days of being confined to the Westworld park. This time, the stakes were different, leaving viewers wanting more.

So, HBO, give us more! We need to know how this all ends!
