Fans have been extremely curious about DC’s Black Adam, which will mark the first time Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has played a superhero. But just who will this DC antihero go up against?

At San Diego Comic-Con, fans kept asking if Black Adam would be fighting Shazam, which wasn’t a question any of the panelists could answer. However, the Rock is being candid about Black Adam eventually fighting another famous DC superhero: Superman.

While speaking with Cinema Blend, the Rock was asked point-blank what the future looks like between Black Adam and Superman. And here is what he had to say!

Will Black Adam and Superman ever fight onscreen?

“Absolutely. That is the whole point of this man. Thank you for asking that. And I have been saying for some time, there’s a new era in the DC Universe that’s about to begin,” said The Rock. “And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It’s not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was…you know, Black Adam!”

If Warner Bros. messes this up, I may have to swear off DC movies forever. This is literally gold being served on a platter by one of the most famous actors in the world! I would love to see the Rock and Henry Cavill (or whoever else is playing Superman in the future) battle each other on the big screen. I think it may even blow the Ironman vs. Captain America feud out of the water.

Warner Bros. would be silly to pass this idea up, and I truly hope they do what they can to bring it to fruition! I mean, the Rock is the one backing this up; do you need anything else?

Black Adam arrives in theaters on October 21!
