Season 3 of the Disney+ hit Star Wars show The Mandalorian is set to premiere in February of 2023. In an interview with Variety, star Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze, discussed the endgame for the series:

"You know, I have been told [how many seasons it will run for], but we’ll just have to wait and see if that happens. Yes. Yes [it’s the amount I thought it’d be]. (Laughs) The good thing with Dave [Filoni] and Jon [Favreau] is that they’re constantly expanding this world, and I don’t think that Star Wars fans will be lacking for content any time soon."

Having a fixed endpoint for this story means there hopefully won’t be a 10-season marathon of fan service.

Expect Star Wars crossovers before The Mandalorian comes to an end

In May, creator Jon Favreau confirmed that season 4 of The Mandalorian was already being written, but it is currently unknown whether that will be the final season. At this point, the roadmap for the rest of the show is probably pretty clear to the two showrunners. We also expect a big crossover event with other shows like The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. Whether that’s the endgame for The Mandalorian or a point along the path, we don’t yet know.

The last we saw of lead character Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), he and his little green companion Grogu were zipping through space at the end of The Book of Boba Fett. Season 3 of The Mandolorian will likely explore the power struggle for who will rule the planet of Mandalore, possibly bringing Din Djarin into conflict with and Bo-Katan Kryze.

The Rings of Power finale has all the show’s strengths (and its weaknesses). dark. Next
