Over the last few years, many Game of Thrones stars have shared how they would have wanted their character’s stories to end. Emilia Clarke is the latest to join this bunch. She discussed how Daenerys Targaryen’s story at Dreamit Con.

In the final season of Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys went from hero to war criminal as she burned King’s Landing to rubble. Not long after, her lover (and nephew) Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) killed her before she could keep that rolling. According to Twitter user @oochotd, Clarke had something a little different in mind for Daenerys’ final bow.

“I want Daenerys to be with him, with Jon,” Clarke reportedly said. “They could go to family therapy and fix their issues. Daenerys is a very hopeful character, she has a lot of hopes, and I wish that she was able to achieve that.”

At the same time, Clarke stands by what Daenerys did at the end of the series. “I still think Daenerys did nothing wrong. I’m on her side,” she reportedly said. “It’s not fair that he [Jon] gets to live.”

There’s always a possibility that Clarke could return to play Daenerys, but given how her story ended, we doubt it. Jon Snow may well come back, though; actor Kit Harington is pushing to make Jon Snow show himself.

As for projects beyond Thrones, Clarke just snagged the lead role in An Ideal Wife. She’ll play children’s author Constance Wright, who was married to famed writer Oscar Wilde. Wilde was famously gay, so that probably presented a few problems for their marriage.
