“Rest in Peace” will air on AMC this Sunday, November 20. You can also stream it if you get the AMC+ streaming service.
Usually, AMC has released new episodes of The Walking Dead early on AMC+, but they’re understandably holding this one back. It’s not every week you end an iconic TV show.
When to watch The Walking Dead series finale
“Rest in Peace” will air tonight, Sunday, November 20, at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. CST on AMC. Before that, at 8:30 p.m. EST, there will be a red carpet pre-show. Afterwards, at 10:30 p.m. EST, there will be an episode of Talking Dead where host Chris Hardwick and guests break down the finale.
That means that “Rest in Peace” will last for an hour-and-a-half, longer than usual. Again, it’s the series finale; time to pull out all the stops.
What is The Walking Dead series finale about?
Here’s the official synopsis for “Rest in Peace”:
"Daryl and Carol rush Judith to the hospital; Rosita, Eugene and Gabriel search for Coco; Maggie and Negan take arms against Pamela; the heroes assemble for one last stand."
“Rest in Peace” is written by The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang and directed by Greg Nicotero.
