The Last of Us is not coming out on HBO in December 2022

The Last of Us is one of the next big shows on HBO. An adaptation of the popular video game of the same name, The Last of Us is about a zombie apocalypse…wait, come back, it’s different this time!
Yes, The Last of Us is another zombie story, but it distinguishes itself by focusing on its characters, in this case the hardened survivor Joel (Pedro Pascal) and the determined Ellie (Bella Ramsey), whom Joel must escort across a zombie-ridden United States in the hopes of reaching people who can use her immunity to the plague to try and heal mankind.
It’s a good story, all of it managed by Craig Mazin, who brought us HBO’s Chernobyl, and Neil Druckmann, who worked on the original games. And it’s coming out very soon!
The Last of Us premieres on HBO on January 15, 2023
The Last of Us isn’t premiering in December, but it is just around the corner. The show will premiere on HBO on Sunday, January 15. Episodes will be released at a rate of one per week after that.
So we don’t have long to wait now. In the meantime, HBO fans can enjoy the final couple episodes of The White Lotus, which is heating up in a serious way, and then the third and final season of fantasy show His Dark Materials! HBO is bringing it this winter.
