Emilia Clarke, Daenerys Targaryen herself, visited a Game of Thrones-themed ice cream shop in Cornwall.

Simon Sassoon got the idea for a Game of Thrones-themed ice cream shop around five years ago, when the Fowey Carnival was taking place in Cornwall, England. “We called it Game of Cones for carnival week,” he told BBC News. “It stuck, everybody loved the pun, so we kept it.” And there Game of Cones sits to this day, serving up refreshing treats to the Westerosi faithful.

The shop got a proper royal visit the other week when Emilia Clarke, who played Queen Daenerys Targaryen on the long-running HBO show, stopped by. She chronicled her state visit on her Instagram:

“I wasn’t aware she was there until the manager of the shop, Tyler Rubidge, sent me the Instagram post,” Sassoon said. “When I saw it I was gobsmacked.”

"To have Daenerys Targaryen in your shop, well that’s about as good as you can get."

Indeed. I wonder if the Mother of Dragons got her ice cream for free?

In any case, if you’re ever in Cornwall you’re welcome to visit Game of Cones in its place on on Station Road, Fowey. The place has some new flavors in now that the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon has hit the scene. “We have one specific product called Dragon Waffles and with House of the Dragon on now, these waffles have really sparked the imagination.”

Next. Carice van Houten would play Melisandre again “if the storyline was good”. dark
