Game of Thrones made stars out of several of its cast members, and even some of its secondary characters were so well played that you’re unlikely to forget them anytime soon. For instance, will you ever be able to shake the memory of Lysa Arryn, the Lady of the Vale, breastfeeding her 8-year-old son Robin Arryn as she holds court? You won’t, don’t lie.

Kate Dickie, who played Lysa, has kept busy since her Game of Thrones character was killed off in season 4, appearing in movies like The Witch, The Green Night and The Northman as well as series like Inside Man. And now, Deadline reports that she’s joined the second season of Loki on Disney+.

The first season of Loki followed an alternate version of the title character as he got picked up by the Time Variance Authority, a kind of extra-dimensional bureaucracy responsible for maintaining the proper flow of time. Naturally, Loki screwed everything up, and when we left him at the end of season 1, the timeline had gone completely upside down and backwards. We’ll pick up there.

Kate Dickie (Lysa Arryn) will play a villain in the second season of Loki

Loki is so far the only live-action Marvel show on Disney+ that we know for sure will have a second season. We can expect Tom Hiddleston to return as Loki, Sophia Di Martino to come back as the Loki variant Sylvie and Owen Wilson to once again play TVA bureaucrat Mobius M. Mobius. We’ll also probably see more of Jonathan Majors, this time as Kang the Conqueror, who’s being set up as the next major MCU villain.

In addition to Dickie, other newcomers include Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once) and Rafael Casal (Blindspotting). We don’t know anything about Dickie’s character except that she’ll play a villain, which we can imagine given her work on Game of Thrones.

There’s no release date for Loki season 2 as of yet, but hopefully we’ll see it next year.

Next. Gwendoline Christie considers playing Brienne again in Jon Snow spinoff. dark
