Bong Joon-ho is back! The director of Parasite will be directing a sci-fi film called Mickey 17, and he’s got someone special in the lead role: the Batman, aka Robert Pattinson!

Other cast members include Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette, so the movie has an impressive cast. A teaser trailer was dropped earlier this week. Check it out:

If you’re like me, then you’re probably wondering what the heck this movie is about. Don’t worry, we’ve got all the details for you below!

What is Robert Pattinson’s new movie Mickey 17 about?

Mickey 17 is adapted from Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey 7. The character Mickey is a clone used to carry out dangerous, shady work. If the clone dies in the process, it’s okay because they can  always just make another one. Hence the number attached to the title (Mickey 1, 2,3,4…etc).

In the book, the latest Mickey is presumed dead but actually survives and sees the next version of himself. Naturally, things get complicated.

Mickey 17 will be released on March 29, 2024. Around that time, it’ll face competition from the likes of Kung Fu Panda 4, A Quiet Place: Day One, and Godzilla and Kong. 2024 will be a jam-packed year for movies!

Next. Robert Kirkman: God doesn’t exist (in The Walking Dead universe). dark
