Earlier this year, Netflix dropped the fourth season of Stranger Things, and it was a huge success for the streamer. The latest season ended on a cliffhanger involving the hellish Upside Down dimension oozing into the quaint town of Hawkins, Indiana. All the pieces are in place for the fifth season to deliver an epic, action-packed conclusion.

Noah Schnapp promises that fans will be “pleased” with the Stranger Things 5

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, will return to the Hawkins set in Atlanta next year to film the final season. Speaking to Vogue, he declared 2023 his “year of Stranger Things.”

As for how Will’s story will wrap up, Schnapp teases plenty of trials and tribulations on the horizon. “There’s a lot in store for Will,” he said, noting that the final episodes will harken back to the show’s earlier days. “It ties back to where it begins, full circle. I’m excited for fans to see where we wrap his character. I think they’ll be really pleased…but also shocked.”

Season 4 was pretty shocking in places. Eddie Munson’s death was heartbreaking and Vecna was a terrifying new threat. We can only imagine how much more shocking this finale will be.

Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp wins Best Male TV Star at People’s Choice Awards!

Naturally, Vogue asked Schnapp his opinion on the various ‘80s fashion styles he has to don in Stranger Things. Turns out, his 1980s teenager wardrobe isn’t to his taste. “I don’t particularly love my outfits on Stranger Things,” he admitted. “But I mean that in the sense I wouldn’t wear them in real life.”

"I do appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting those outfits together. It’s a really collaborative process. I’m thankful to [costume designer] Amy Parris for that. By helping pick Will’s look, it’s like I get to act, even…in that facet."

Finally, before we go, we congratulate Schnapp on winning “Best Male TV Star” at the recent People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Stranger Things season 5 begins filming next year. Don’t expect it to premiere anytime soon. Perhaps sometime in 2024! Once it concludes, we know that creators Matt and Ross Duffer are keen on creating spinoffs, although no shows have been announced yet. Watch this space.
