Jean-Luc is getting the band back together in the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard. That includes Michael Dorn as the newly pacifistic Worf.

Star Trek: Picard will end after a third and final season next year, and it intends to go out with a blast of nostalgia. When the show began, it was about Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) getting back into the game after a lengthy period of retirement/bitter self-imposed exile. Star Trek: The Next Generation alums Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis showed up as Riker and Troi, but generally the show tried to make room for the new cast members.

But little by little, they faded into the background, and season 3 looks to be a full-on TNG reunion. In addition to Frakes, Sirtis and Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, we’l welcome the returns of LeVar Burton as Geordi La Forge, Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher, and Michael Dorn as Worf, the Enterprise’s security officer back in the day.

TV Line recently shared an image of an aged Worf reuniting with Captain Picard. Check it out below:

All that said, this isn’t the Worf we remember. He was usually the most trigger-happy of the crew back on TNG, but as he reveals in the trailer below, he now prefers pacifism to combat. Strange new world.

Star Trek: Picard season 3 premieres on Paramount+ on February 16.
