Into the Spider-Verse came out of nowhere in 2018 to become a huge hit, introducing big screen audiences to brand new Spider-Man Miles Morales. A couple years later, Spider-Man: No Way Home became not only one of the most successful Spider-movies of all time, but one of the most successful movies period. Can Sony keep the hot streak going?

If the newest trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is any indication, very probably. The first Spider-Verse movie featured Spider-People from alternate realities visiting Miles at home in Brooklyn. The new movie will see Miles visit alternate realities himself, each with a different animation style. Check out the trailer below:

That was good and heartfelt! Also note Stan Lee as the comic book shop guy. And the Spider-Man from Insomniac’s Spider-Man video games showing up. With the multiverse in play, the potential for cameos is endless.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse release date

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is scheduled to hit theaters on June 2, 2023. Another movie, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is due out on March 29, 2024. That’s pretty close together, so expect Across the Spider-Verse to be part one of a one-two punch.

There’s also a female-focused spinoff film in development. Sony wants to make a cinematic universe of this Spider-verse.

Next. Westworld and The Nevers being pulled from HBO Max, dumped elsewhere. dark
