Sounds like Marvel’s Echo series has been delayed

Between Moon KnightMs. Marvel and She-HulkMarvel had a busy year on Disney+. But 2023 will make 2022 look like child’s play. Marvel is bringing out the big guns next year, including:

  • New seasons of both Loki and What If…?
  • New Marvel shows like EchoIronheart, Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Secret Invasion
  • The animated series X-Men 97, which I don’t imagine will tie into the rest of the MCU but I could be wrong.

That’s seven seasons of Marvel television coming out in one year. How does that fit into the studio’s avowed desire to focus more on quality over quantity moving into Phase 5? Stand by.

Get ready to watch six-seven Marvel shows in 2023

That said, it’s possible that at least one of these series could get pushed into 2024. Previously, Echo — which is a spinoff of Hawkeye revolving around the deaf superhero Echo, aka Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) — was announced to be coming in the summer of 2023. But the other day on Ben Blackers’ Writers’ Panel podcast, head writer Marion Dayre made it sound like we could have a bit longer to wait. “That will be probably a year from when this comes out,” she said.

That would mean Echo premieres in the fall/winter, a slot previously reserved for Agatha: Coven of Chaos. So maybe the Agatha show will get bumped to 2024?

Still, whether it’s six shows or seven, we have a lot of Marvel coming our way. As usual…but moreso!
