Socialite, makeup mogul and human-mirror-that-reflects-all-of-our-deepest-fears-back-at-us Kylie Jenner has good taste in TV. The Kardashian princess recently posted a video rounding up the year in Kylie, naming some of her favorite fashion trends, pop culture moments, and even family members from 2022.

She also talked about her favorite TV show, which was a very easy pic for her. “Favorite TV show this year, obviously House of the Dragon,” she said. “I’ve watched the whole thing, it’s hard to say. Probably like five times now.”

House of the Dragon, of course, is the Game of Thrones prequel show that aired its first season on HBO in the fall. And y’know, the show could do worse that having Kylie Jenner as a fan. She’s the third most followed person on Instagram, which means her opinions get broadcast out to a ludicrously large number of people.

Kylie Jenner liking House of the Dragon is good for HBO, good for America

And HBO benefits if people like Kylie watch the show more than once; for a series to go from being a success to a phenomenon, it needs not only people who like it enough to watch, but who love it enough to rewatch. Whatever you think of the Kardashians and their empire, I guarantee the HBO marketing team is happy right now.

It feels like the whole Kardashian family are House of the Dragon. A few of them participated in a sketch with James Corden a couple months back, where Kylie claimed the Iron Throne in the end:

The second season of House of the Dragon probably won’t air until 2024. And then the real media event of that year, Kylie’s Year in Review, will be out in December.
