House of the Dragon featured a ton of great actors, some of whom played the same characters. For instance, Milly Alcock played the younger version of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Emma D’Arcy the older, but both blew up this past year.
The show’s first season jumped quickly through time, covering a large number of years in a short span of episodes. Sometimes actors came and went before we really got a chance to know them. For example, the character of Laena Velaryon was played by three different actors over the course of season 1: Nova Foueillis-Mosé as a child, Savannah Steyn as a teenager, and Nanna Blondell as an adult. All three actors made an impression, and none stuck around as long as we would’ve liked.
But their talent will not be denied! Nerdgazm has what it claims is inside information that Savannah Steyn will be featured in the upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka. Reportedly, she’ll be playing a teenaged version of lead character Ahsoka Tano! It feels like Steyn is carving out a niche…
Savannah Steyn from House of the Dragon could play Young Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka Tano is a Star Wars character first introduced in the animated series The Clone Wars as a padawan training under Anakin Skywalker, the future Darth Vader. She’s grown and developed over the years and finally made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian, where she was played by Rosario Dawson. Dawson will return to the role for the upcoming live-action Disney+ series.
So where would teenaged Ahsoka fit in? According to Nerdgazm, there could be flashbacks to her time during the Clone Wars. Or Adult Ahsoka might meet her teenaged self while wandering the World Between Worlds, a weird sideways reality where all points in time are connected. It’s a Force thing, just go with it.
Nerdgazm even says that there are plans for a fight scene between Savannah Steyn’s Ahsoka and Darth Vader, who will be played by Hayden Christensen. At this point it’s probably a good idea to pump the breaks a bit and remind people that this is all unconfirmed information, but given that Christensen already returned to play Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, it’s not an absurd idea.
We’ll find out for sure when Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ sometime in 2023!
