As we speak, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is in development, with production likely to start sometime next year. We don’t know when the season will premiere, but if I had to guess, we’re looking at 2024 at the earliest.

As the end inches closer, some are talking about the possibility of the series continuing through spinoff projects. Nothing has been confirmed, but with the mythology of Stranger Things as vast as it is, there’s potential for more stories.

Millie Bobby Brown is thinking about life after Stranger Things. While speaking to Total Film, Brown shared why she wouldn’t return to the franchise if there were ever a spinoff.

Here’s why Millie Bobby Brown is ready to move on from Stranger Things

Since starring as Eleven in Stranger Things, Brown’s career has soared to great heights. This includes starring in Netflix’s Enola Holmes alongside Henry Cavill. “I’m just so focused on Enola [Holmes],” she said. “Stranger Things – we saw it, we love it, we have big hearts. But let’s make more Enolas. Let’s put that on Netflix.”

"But other than that, I’d love to see another bald-headed 10-year-old get given that opportunity. I would help her navigate it."

There you have it, folks! Brown may be ready to put the sci-fi series behind her, but she is more than happy to help someone else take on the role. And honestly, I think that is great!

Eleven is such a nuanced character with a complicated past and an intriguing future. Given that, someone else could easily step into the role and continue the story. The spinoff I want to see? Eleven’s years at Hawkins Lab.

Time will tell what Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have in mind for this world. For now, they are busy working on developing and writing the fifth and final season of the critically acclaimed series.
