2. The Bad Batch removed their inhibitor chips

Every clone is equipped with an inhibitor chip, which makes them more compliant. That’s why the clones were willing to go along with the Emperor when he ordered them to kill the Jedi in Revenge of the Sith. The Bad Batch’s enhancements held off the effects of the inhibitor chips temporarily. The crew is eventually tracked down by legendary Clone Captain Rex, who is horrified to learn that they still have their inhibitor chips inside their heads. In The Clone Wars season 7, Rex’s chip is activated when the Emperor gives Order 66, and he attempts to kill Ahsoka Tano. The former Jedi successfully removes Rex’s chip, returning his free will to him.

Fearing the Bad Batch’s chips are still a threat, Rex convinces the crew to have them removed. They travel to a wrecked Venator class Star Destroyer on Bracca, hoping the ship still contains the medical facilities needed to remove the chips. Before the procedures could be complete, Wrecker’s constant headaches turn out to be his inhibitor chip activating, proving that each member of the Bad Batch was essentially a walking time bomb. In the end, the crew is successful in removing their chips.

Rex wants the Bad Batch join him in his efforts against the Empire, but Hunter refuses the invitation and says they are still figuring out what to do. They later complete a mission for Rex where they rescue the clone commando Gregor from an Imperial facility. Rex will appear in season 2.

3. Omega helped create the Bad Batch

Like I mentioned earlier, Omega is in fact older than the rest of the Bad Batch despite them looking like full grown adults and her a child. Omega’s creator Nala Se oversaw the process of genetically enhancing the Bad Batch while Omega was her assistant, meaning Omega helped create them. This is the reason Omega is so interested in the Bad Batch in the first episode; she formed an attachment to them during their creation.

Omega also identifies with the group because she is also a misfit among the other clones. Not only is she the only clone without growth enhancement, she is possibly the only female clone made by the Kaminoans. This explains why she is so eager to get to know the Bad Batch when they return to Kamino. Because to Omega, the Bad Batch is her true family.
